Chinese food for dinner today! Was very good…
Here in Singapore there aren’t any big fluffy brushes waiting for you in the car wash behind the gas station! Here there are 3 guys waiting for you with some sponges and hoses. And at the end of the “tunnel” there are two more waiting to dry and vacuum in your car! And its much cheaper than the automated washers in Norway!

Yesterday Charlie was to the ”hairdresser”! And I sat behind the wheel of a car on the right side for the first time!
Strange feeling in the beginning, but everything went well!

Was out to lunch today with Helena, while Even was @ work and Anja had her first day of practice.
Finally back on! When I turned on my phone here in Singapore, it wouldn’t work! Or it worked, but it was really slow working! When I pushed a button, it took several seconds before it reacted! And the menu was gone! I took it to a Nokia costumer service here in Singapore, but he just said that I should hand it inn when I got back to Europe, so no help there! But I use my phone to post here, so I wanted it to work now, so that night I sat down to figure out what to do! First I tried to rest the phone, to get it back the factory settings, but that didn’t help! Still the same trouble! After several other attempts with different things, I just decided to format the whole phone! I found the code to do that and just did it! This of course ment that I lost all my saved data, like phone numbers. But at least my phone workes now! On the positive side, I get to reorganize my phonebook now!
Finally we made it to Singapore! The plane landed approximately 2:10pm local time! We used approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes from Istanbul to Singapore!

After many hours waiting and a number of passport and security checks, we are now finally at the last plane for today! This one will take us all the way to Singapore!
Found a free Hot spot with internet acess and just talked to my dad through skype on my mobile phone! It worked greate, but there was some lagging on the line! Probably not the best line/connection! Are now sitting @ starbucks coffee, as last year, and having a coffee!
As you can see on the picture, we had a nice speed to Istanbul!
The time is now 18:40 local time, and the plane to Singapore leaves @ 23:15

Singapore is known for its electronics, and since I’m a “elctroholick” I can’t just go to Singapore without buying anything…. So here is a list over thing I bought in Singapore! For quite some time I have been looking at digital cameras, and specially at digital SLR cameras. And I had decided for Canon D400 before I came to Singapore. So in the first week I got one of those. Canon had some kind of special offer, so I got it with a 18-55mm lens, a 4 GB CF card, 10 empty DVD’s and a carry bag (that I don’t use) for a really good price!
The next thing I got, was something else I have been looking for here in Poland, but haven’t been able to find, and in Norway they are way too expensive… A Polar pulse watch, with a speedometer for a bicycle! I got the CS300.
The last electrical thing I got, was a pen board for my pc. I got a Wacom bamboo. It works great, and now that I got a computer that runs on Windows Vista, it works even better! Vista is made for this!
Here finally are the pictures from our last week in Singapore this summer! In this week we were in Kina town and visited The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum! It was still under construction, but what a wonderful temple! All the gold statues, the small Buda’s and every thing else….. And on the roof of the temple there was a really nice serenity garden, with orchids and other nice flowers! Also this week we visited Riverside point. This is a special place, where there is a kind of permanent tent over a whole city quarter. In the pictures you can see it by night (there is only 2 pictures though).
Other things we did this week was that we eat at a Korean place. This was a special experience. The buffè here consisted of raw meat, marinated meat, fish, vegetables and so on…. And in the middle of every 4 person table, there was a “grill” with a bucket in the middle, where you could make soup! This food was great! Very tasty, and it was a buffè, so you get very full after disappointing short time!
We also managed to go to Santosa one more time before we left Singapore! Here Charlie could play in the water (with Anja). Don’t know which of them had the most fun ![]()
And then, all too soon, we had to go back to Norway!
Today we have just walked around in Singapore, just taking in the sites! We had pepper and chilly crab for dinner! It was very good, but the pepper crab was the best one!

Not too much to say for these days. Much to see, but you need to be here to get the right “feel”. See the pictures!

Pictures from the day here!
