…..getting a French car! This week I rented a car to get around in! The last times I have rented a car from this guy, I have been getting ether a Skoda Octavia, or a a Skoda Fabia. Both are nice cars to drive, and there haven’t been any major problems with them! This time however, he shoved up with a Peugeot 206, 2.0 HDI, 2000 mod. The Peugeot 206 has the potential to be a nice car but it has one drawback…. Its French!! I’m sorry, but the French can’t build cars! All the horror stories I have heard about ALL the car brands from Franc! But of course you shouldn’t belive all the stories people tell you, but I have rented Peugeot two times in my life, once in Norway, and now here in Poland, and something went wrong bout times! The time in Norway we had two problems with the car. The first one, which was a easy fix, was that the gas pedal got stuck on full throttle a couple of times…You would think that that is a bad thing, but compared to the next thing that happened, it was nothing! Anja and I was out driving, and this was in the fall time when its beginning to be pretty dark in Norway, and we were on a dark road with no lighting. Suddenly the car decides to turn off ALL the lights in and on the car!!!! I know that the French can be stubborn, but lucky for us the lights came back after a couple of seconds. And lucky for us we were on a straight road, and not a curvy one, which we were on like two minutes before and two minutes after! (there aren’t many straight roads in Norway!). And now back to the car this week…. I can see why all the cars I have been inn here in Poland have something loose, like a panel or a screw that has been un tighten, because some of the roads here are really bumpy and everything gets shaken loose! But this care, like the car we rented in Norway actually, seemed to have a mind of its own! When I wanted to lock the car I used the remote, and this worked fine the first couple of times! But then, when Mark and I were at Makro last evening, the strangest thing started to happened… When I pushed the button to lock the car, it locked and then unlocked itself again, but after a couple of tries it stayed locked! But this wasn’t the end of this! The next time I was going to lock the car, it was the same all over, but this time the car didn’t give up! I even tried to lock with the key, but then the central locking mechanism wouldn’t work, so I had to go around the car and lock every door by hand….I hate French cars!
